Medical completion

Head Nurse Amy will be back from vacation tomorrow and I will call her. I need to find out if she has a record of Mom's Medication and if not, who do we get it from? I'll also discuss with her trying to reduce Mom's level of care to 1 which is $300 cheaper. I want to know the details which is based on the findings of the Florida evaluation. Amy obviously hasn't read it since she's been on vacation. I'm not optimistic though. On the plus side, level 2 might allow enough room for more showers. I'll know more in the next day or so. I don't believe the level of care affects the contract but we'll check on that too.

  1. No reason not to get the details of what made up the level 2 assessment (up to 7 hours/week) but it seems reasonable. Also, it can be changed monhtly.

  2. The reason I mentioned the level is that I've had an in depth conversation with Mom and with Amy about keeping it to level 1 and what that would give us. As usual, Amy went above and beyond plugging in numbers. Level one gave Mom help getting dressed every morning and 3 showers a week. Mom wants a shower every day and I told her the choice is hers but more than 3 will cost her $300.

  3. Having the evaluation done by an agency outside Atria may have given different information. Amy willing to arrange and have Atria spend a significant amount of money to expedite the process for us is well worth sorting out any confusion. All this work Lee and Hillary are doing wouldn't even have been possible to begin yet. When I explained the time pressure on Mom's sale, they all got right on it. I love Atria....... So far......
