Well, of course, I had the same thought. For what it's worth, here are the mitigating factors:
- the buyer had a different broker, so Barbara (probably) didn't have the sale ready before the listing - this was Mom's asking price - Mom says she knows of an apartment like hers that sold recently for $59,000
Sounds too easy.

I agree. Unless there is something big Barbara can offier to explain why Mom shouldn't take the offer -
